Phoenix Rising Border Collie Rescue of SC
Our dogs come to us from a variety of situations--some are rescued just hours away from death at local shelters and some are owner surrenders to our group. Each of our dogs are fully vetted, treated for any illnesses and fostered in private homes.
Our foster homes carefully evaluate the dogs to determine what kind of home they are best suited for, All potential adopters are required to fill out an application, give vet references, pass home visit evaluations and sign a contract ensuring that the dog is placed in it's fur-ever home!

Foster Failure!
We were about the third foster home for Zoe after she was owner-surrender to a SC No-Kill Shelter! Zoe had built up quite a reputation of being one tough to handle girl, but we were willing to take on the challenge! After just a few days with us, we knew Zoe was going to be part of our gang. She is our only disc-girl and has overcome so many issues since we have had her. She won several awards in disc in 2010 and we are looking forward to 2011 as she continues to reach new heights in her potential!
Our first foster, Lola, now lives with Lucy, a local massage therapist--lucky dog!
Another foster, Zoey, loves to camp with her new parents! She also represents PRBCR at many local fundraisers!
Foster Willow now lives with a family in Charleston
