Disc-O-Dogs!

It all began when Beauregard, a six week old Border Collie-Aussie mix, came to live with us in May 2006!

Beau and his first disc!
We soon found that Beau's favorite toy was his plastic flying disc! Beau was catching the disc at 8 weeks and was soon bringing it back to us to toss again.
We encouraged his play and it soon became an obsession. We began to watch TV shows with "Frisbee" dog competitions and to read all we could on the sport.
We attended our first competition (without Beau) in May 2007. We met several of the top competitors and were welcomed into the disc-doggin' world. Later that year, we attended the Skyhoundz World Championship in Atlanta and made the decision on the way home -- it was time to enter Beau in competition!
Just two weeks later, we entered a local Skyhoundz competition in Black Mountain, NC. Beau came home with second place--and we haven't slowed down since!
Since then, we have competed across the Southeastern US with some of the world's top teams, many that we had watched on TV when we were just learning about the sport!
We start the 2011 season with five dogs on our Disc-O-Dog team, something we never could have dreamed when we brought Beau home.......
